“During one of my dives in the sea of Santorini, I came across of a big school of bream fish. When they felt my presence, they immediately stopped moving, forming a kind of wall. After a few seconds of embarrassment, the younger fish moved forward to scrutinize me, whereas the older ones remained still in their position. In order to recreate this experience, I use cast bronze for my Entrapped Fish, highlighting the effect of stillness.” - Yorgos Kypris
