Our first gathering of the season unfolds on the longest day of the year. In celebration of International Yoga Day and World Music Day, MATI Mesaria brings together yoga instructor Marina Gourneli and harpist maria a. angeli for a collaborative experience where movement, breath, and live harp music gently intertwine.
As Marina guides the practice, Maria’s harp accompanies the journey, inviting participants to experience resonance through vibration, attentive listening, and embodied presence.
Please note that participation is limited to 20 people and prior registration is needed
This multisensory experience marks the beginning of Mindful Resonance, a series of sessions curated by Marina Gourneli. Conceived as a journey through the five elements – earth, water, fire, air, and ether – the series invites participants to cultivate presence, inner awareness, and a deeper connection with the surrounding landscape, where resonance is experienced through the live sound of the harp.
maria a. angeli, a long-time practitioner of this powerful instrument and certified therapeutic musician, brings the rich vibrations of her 26-string harp to MATI Mesaria with the intention of creating a deeply felt sound cocoon of trust, grace, safety, and beauty.
Often described as ethereal, the harp’s sound spans a broad range of frequencies known to calm and balance the nervous system and gently soothe brainwaves and the body, creating a soulful and immersive atmosphere that can become deeply meditative and restorative.
